Orientation BOOKLET for FILIPINOS IN germany
Are you new in Germany?
A free orientation booklet containing practical tips and information for newcomers and settlers in Germany is available for you. This was initiated by the UPAA Germany e.V. in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Philippine-German diplomatic relation. It contains basic information about Germany which would serve as an orientation guide to visitors and incoming or new residents, e.g. exchange Filipino students and scholars, Filipino expatriates and professionals, migrant workers or new Filipino brides/grooms of German nationals, etc. In cooperation with generous donors, free copies of the pocket-size, printed booklets will be made available (starting June 2014) at the Philippine Embassy, consulates, churches and organizations hosting a Filipino congregation and/or religious services, etc. You can also download the booklet here for free. (Note: The actual size of the booklet is DIN-A6 (10.5 cm x 14.8 cm) , i.e. 4 pages can fit in a usual DIN-A4 size paper.) |
Danke schön!
The 2014 premier edition of the orientation booklet benefited from the help of UPAA Germany e.V. colleagues and friends, especially Dr. Marlies Salazar who shared valuable time proofreading the document, Victoria Villar-Demmer, Azela Arumpac, Dr. Gabriel Kühne and Peter Wolff, for providing references, corrections and comments on the booklet. We are also especially grateful to Ambassador Maria Cleofe Natividad, the Philippine Embassy in Berlin, Mr. and Mrs. George and Yapsie Vega (from D-55131 Mainz), Mr. and Mrs. Rey and Delia Ginete (from D-65817 Eppstein) and all corporate donors (listed below) who supported this project.
