The University of the Philippines Alumni
Association (UPAA) Germany Scholarship Grant aims to provide assistance to
financially needy and deserving undergraduate students of the University of the
Philippines in their final year of study. This scholarship sponsored by UPAA Germany e.V. shall be for one
academic year providing a total benefit of 10,000 Php per semester to the
successful applicants.
Scholarship Criteria
An applicant for the scholarship must be
- a Filipino citizen;
- must be a bona fide undergraduate student of the University of the Philippines;
- must be a student in his/her final year of undergraduate study and have no previous bachelor’s degree;
- must have obtained a weighted average of “2.5” or better and must have carried a load of at least 15 units with no grade of “5.00” or unremoved “4.00” or “inc.” in the last semester attended before the application;
- must not have been in the delinquent list and must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action in any given time;
- must be financially needy (parents’ annual gross income must not exceed P200,000.00).
Important Notes
The grant benefits will be withdrawn from a student who withholds and/or falsifies information.
A UPAA Germany scholar must not transfer to another course or go on leave of absence without prior approval from the UP Office of Scholarships and Student Services.
A UPAA Germany scholar must maintain a weighted average of “2.5” or better with no grade of “5.00” or unremoved “4.00” or “inc.” in the first semester of his/her scholarship year to avail of the benefit for the second semester. In addition, the scholar must not have been in the delinquent list and must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action in any given time.
