Picture
This project is a private initiative of Myrna and Niels von Keyserlingk who went to Leyte and Aklan to help the Haiyan (Yolanda) typhoon victims. Niels and Myrna are also regular donors of UPAA Germany projects. This initiative for the typhoon Haiyan victims led by the couple has been supported by a number of UPAA Germany members and friends of the couple.

"....our planned support action for some victims of ‘Haiyan’ will be directed towards the youth. It is now clear that the funds we generate will be used to help re-build school buildings in Barangay Campokpok, a remote village in the northern part of Leyte and another one in Ochando, Kalibo, Aklan (Iloilo Islands)." - Myrna and Niels von Keyserlingk

The couple had also conducted several charitable projects in Burma and in Manila. For a comprehensive report of their project in Burma aimed at helping the cyclone "Nargis" victims, please click here.
